    Uncle Louie is an independent film based on the screenplay by Joseph Izzo and Joseph Mangelli. It's a funny, dark and twisted tale. When Benny, a hapless entrepreneur and lovable romantic, is threatened by a loan shark, his pregnant girlfriend and a voodoo priest bring Benny's venerated Uncle Louie, an Italian mobster from Buffalo, back to life to save the day.

    The film delves into the realm of the hereafter with magical realism, metaphors and large doses of irony and wit. The plot ultimately leads Benny to rediscover his own inner strength and gives his dearly departed Uncle Louie 24 precious hours to savor the simple pleasures of life.
